Football Fridays a Success in 2011
The third season of the NAA's Football Fridays was our best yet! The events, held at the Wick Alumni Center on Fridays before home football games, drew alumni from 36 states, six countries and four continents! In all, approximately 2,500 alumni and fans attended the six events.
The most popular component of Football Fridays was the game preview panel. Each week, former Huskers and local media offered insight into the 2011 team and answered audience questions. Former Huskers Matt Davison, Jay Foreman, Tommie Frazier, Brandon Rigoni, Brendan Stai, Steve Taylor, Eric Warfield and Erik Wiegert all dropped by to share their thoughts on the Huskers.
The NAA was thrilled with a few newcomers to this year's lineup, including an appearance by a Husker assistant coach each week. We would like to say a special thanks to Ron Brown, Ross Els, Rich Fisher, John Garrison, Cory Raymond and Jeff Jamrog. In addition, the Husker Sports Network's Greg Sharpe served as emcee.
